I was raised in the small community of Avon and in a Christian home with my dad, mom and brother. I attended First Baptist Church every Sunday morning and evening as well as Wednesday nights. I accepted Christ as my Savior at Vacation Bible School when I was in middle school. I was very active at my church from singing in the choir to teaching Sunday School and VBS.
Once I graduated from high school I attended college at DSU in Madison. I would go home every weekend and attend church but after a couple years I stayed at college and worked on the weekends. This is when my faith started to waiver. I knew I wasn’t living a good Christian life but it took another year for God to finally open my eyes. I searched for a church in town and started attending West Center. This was an answer to my prayers.
I met my husband, Gordy, at DSU and a year later we got married. Once we started to get more involved at church I felt things change in my life. Sunday School, Women’s Bible Studies and several Christian role models really helped me to grow deeper spiritually.
Gordy and I have been blessed with two children, Noah and Neely. We are very thankful for our family and that they are living for the Lord.
